Exploring LSD Microdosing Protocols

LSD microdosing protocols involve specific plans and schedules for engaging in microdosing with LSD. These protocols determine how often, how much, and for how long microdosing should be done, with the goal of maximizing benefits while minimizing risks and negative effects.

If you’re familiar with psilocybin microdosing protocols, understanding LSD protocols will be straightforward. However, there are a few protocols that don’t apply to LSD, such as Stamets (designed specifically for mushrooms) and a nightly protocol (due to LSD’s potential impact on sleep).

Apart from those exceptions, microdosing protocols for LSD are similar to those for psilocybin. Here’s a recap of the most common microdosing protocols:

  1. The Fadiman Protocol:

The Fadiman protocol, named after Dr. James Fadiman, is one of the most popular LSD microdosing protocols. This protocol involves alternating microdosing days with non-microdosing days. It’s recommended to track the effects on non-microdosing days in a journal.

Instructions: Take a microdose every third day.

Day 1: Microdose
Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Rest
Day 4: Microdose

  1. Fixed Schedule Protocol:

If you have difficulty remembering to take medicine or supplements on a non-fixed schedule, a fixed schedule protocol may be easier for you. You can choose specific days of the week to microdose, making it simpler to incorporate into your routine.
Instructions: Select specific fixed days to microdose during the week and rest on the remaining days.

Fixed Day: Microdose (e.g., Monday)
Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Rest
Fixed Day: Microdose (e.g., Thursday)
Day 5-7: Rest

It’s also possible to include a third microdose on Day 6 and rest for one day, combining elements from the next protocol.

  1. Every Other Day Protocol:

This protocol is straightforward and resembles the Fadiman Protocol. Instead of microdosing every 3 days, you take a dose every other day. Maintain this cycle for 4-8 weeks, with only one day of rest between microdosing days. Keep a journal to track changes in mood, creativity, thoughts, memories, etc.

Instructions: Take a dose every other day.

Day 1: Microdose
Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Microdose
Day 4: Rest

  1. Intuitive Microdosing:

Sometimes, sticking to a set schedule can be challenging. If you find it difficult to commit to a schedule after trying the above protocols, you may consider an intuitive protocol.

Intuitive microdosing is a flexible protocol that you define and tailor to your specific needs. You choose when to microdose based on your own intuition and how you’re feeling. Some people switch to this approach after trying other protocols. Trust your instincts and adjust your microdosing accordingly.

The only rule is to leave one day between doses for resting.
